Dr. Angela Jones

Welcome to the Decatur Alternative Education Program!

I am honored to serve as Principal and excited to work alongside our students, families, staff, and community. With more than 30 years in education, I believe that every student can succeed when given high expectations, meaningful relationships, structure, and the right support.

Our program is a place for students to reset, refocus, and move forward. We are committed to helping students strengthen their academic skills, develop self-regulation, build confidence, and prepare for a successful return to their home school or the next step in their educational journey.

I believe strongly in accountability, fresh starts, and the power of positive relationships. I also believe that student success is strongest when schools and families work together. I look forward to getting to know our students and families and building a school community where students feel supported, challenged, and capable of success.
